In Mexico at Bakeries I found pastry all made with corn, no wheat. I need the name or recipe. Thanks?

They were round not puffy, like a cake that hasn't risen. They looked like they were rolled and two ends stuck together with a very little hole in the middle. They also looked like the flattened when cooked. A little sweet not a lot.

  2. I wish you could be even more specific, because there are over 300 recorded different kinds of sweet baked bread in Mexico, not to mention many more that remain unrecorded to date. It could be riel, rollo or envuelto.

    Did it have a filling of some kind?
