  1. Normally Shift-P for a pushback, but you can change this to any key you want with control assignments. The same key is used to both start and stop the pushback.

If you want to change or check the keys used, look under Options | Controls | Assignments during a flight, or look under Settings | Assignments when no flight is in progress.

Some add-on aircraft have more elaborate pushback options (especially airliners), so if you are flying an add-on aircraft, check the manual.

  2. control+p then quickly follow with 1 or 2 (you can try all 3 at the same time too)

1 makes your tail go left, 2 makes your tail go right. it will take some distance before your aircraft starts turning while backing up.

control+p again to stop backward movement

on some aircraft, such as the md-80 (add-on) you can use reverse thrust to back up. idle your engines by pressing f1 then hold f2 for a bit. DO NOT tap on brakes! press f1 again to come out of reverse thrust.

you can do this with any jet in fs2004but it is not recommended.

most prop planes do not have reverse thrust.

  3. I usually use the Slew (Y) to push back from a gate instead of struggling with the ctrl+p.

  4. press ctrl p.you wanna stop reversing press it again.this applies only to jets..props no go.when you reverse, you cant turn.you have to back up quite a distance otherwise when you forward, the plane will go thru the lounge.if ctrlp dont work, try shift p..now i am confused coz now i aint sure but its either or these coupla'buttons.

  5. i agree with (DS Aviation Services)
