Even with full thrust, the plane always ends up sinking and I crash. What am I doing wrong?

  1. The big jets stall because of their size...you need a long enough runway to gently lift off

  2. The "big birds" are a challenge in FSX indeed. Probably the only thing you're doing wrong is "jumping in the big jet airliner seat" and hoping to get it without a lot of practice first. With the "big birds", you have to deal with a lot of flap and thrust adjustments. Also, you can't use the autopilot on takeoff. Take a step back and practice a bit more with the single props, then the twin engine props and then the smaller Lear Jet. Go back through the FSX Learning Center and go to the "beginner" jet missions and practice those. Eventually, you will get it!

  3. I don't care what the others have said, You can STALL any Air craft at any speed or Alt.

Most times this happens is at Take off.

and the other is on landings.

    Let's USE a 747-200/400

Set your flaps for 10.  set your ROC to 1800 FPM. Now taxi out to the runway. HOLD your Breaks and Full engs, Note your AC  begin's to move. Look at your Tac. 100+% let the break's go. Look at your Air Speed. About 155 Knts pull back just stick, 160 knts  You should be airborne. During this Re tract your gear. at 3,000 re tract flaps to 5

at 5,000 re tract full to 0. no flaps, Now just Nav to the place you want to fly to.

On landing that big bird. with ILS.

  4. first adjust your flaps to raise you, next put the throttles on full.

lastly wait until you're near the end of the runway before you pull back on the yoke.

oh wait i forgot, don't push it too hard or it will stall, and raise your wheels after you take off. hope this helps
