  1. What's the reason for the trip? I smell something and it's not a rat.

  2. depends on what you like to do and when you come.

If you are a pub person, there are lots of them that are tourist free, like McGibbons, Peel Pub, Les 3 pierrots...

If you come in the summer I suggest you visit La Ronde (amusement park).

  3. If tourists don't want to be mugged, one should not wear a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey to a Montreal Canadiens game. To avoid a nice case of STD, stay away from most men from Montreal if you are a woman. That would exclude most or all bars, strip joints, hotel lobbies, and I would also recommend stay out of dark alleys on your itinerary. Otherwise, Montreal is a wonderful place to visit.

  4. So what is that other girl saying - there are no tourists at La Ronde, is that it?

    Hardly!

Most tourists hang out around Sainte-Catherine Street so try to avoid that area.

Try Saint-Laurent Boulevard, Saint-Denis Street or even Avenue Mont-Royal instead - why not?

Good luck dodging those d**n tourists and enjoy your visit to Montreal!
