Drivers of a car would lose their drivers license but with no boat license issued what would the penalty be.

  1. There was something on the local news about this recently. You can be issued a ticket for whatever the boating equivalent of DUI is, and you can be prosecuted. There are fines and perhaps jail time involved. So, even if you don't need a boating license, you can still feel the consequenses of refusing the breathalyzer test. The police are in crackdown mode. Be careful out there.


  2. I think it is a national law that you lose your licnse no matter what state your in because of all the boating accidents world wide in IN. you can go to jail and lose your license just llike if you were in a car.

  3. alcohol & boating do not mix. but as for the law try this web site download the pdf on state laws & start reading on page 43.
