In NYC, if I received a ticket for an expired inspection sticker??

After I get my inspection done. Can I take a picture and send it in in order to fight the ticket? I heard you can send it as proof and thwy'll waive the payment for the ticket.

If you are sending in proof that you got the inspection done after the fact, expect the judge to go "easy" on you. But not totally waive fines.

If you are sending in the picture to try and fool the court into thinking that the inspection had been done all along...The court will then ask you to send in the documentation about when it was done. After they catch you lying, the judge will probably assess the maximum penalty he can for the violation.
