When the WB Govt. conceded to the demand of a section of the villagers not to go ahead with a Chemical Hub SEZ programmee eleven months back, there was virtually no need of the so-called SaveLand (BUPC) action. All the antiGovt. politicians along with the Naxalites gathered there even then to oust the CPI(M) sympathisers living there just to defame the Govt.

During last eleven months these ousted villagers had a havoc life living in relief camps when all normal activities were stopped - No Govt. officials could reach the villages even for developmental works. No NGO ventured to come to their help with food and clothing. Armed guards were in patroll, collecting extortion money even for cultivating own land, whoever was luck to do so. The media people never higlighted the plight of these ill-fated people. ABOVE ALL, politicians were busy to prolong the crisis to gain political milage (remember : Panchayet Poll is ahead in WB) .

This evening it's over .. Now.. another issue ?????

  1. The visuals on t.v. gives us different story.I think they(Govt. Of Bengal) should allow the press to get a real picture of the current situation there.

  2. The developments during the last two days are the indications.  Once they felt that normalcy is going to restore they used Medha patkar to create misunderstanding in the minds of people about the development of home coming of villagers.  They used governor 's office,  Mamtha benerjis resignation drama and also heighlight the minor differences within the left front.  But people of West Bengal once again prove the vested interested politicians have no place in that state.  The same nandigram panchayat elections will prove that the people are with the people's government.
