In New Jersey, Do you take a picture on your permit?

i'm getting my permit today, and i wanna know if i should look nice.

Well, yes and no.  When I first went for my permit, they do take a picture, but this is only a reference for the MVC to keep on file so that they can (more easily) identify you when you come in for your regular license.  So this picture does not get printed on any license or permit.  You take a new one when its time for your "normal" license and have the option to take a new one every time you go to renew.  Hope this helps
