I went on vacation, and my flight had a layover so my family had to go to LaGuardia airport in NYC. While we were landing, I saw a lot of things, including this thing that looked like a giant silver globe... what is it? Namewise and stuff.

  1. That was the Unisphere, left over from the last worlds fair. It's right next to Playhouse in the Park and the Ice Skating rink, and the lake where they had the Aquacade. Now they have the Korean Dragon Boat races there, and Korean Day and Puerto Rican Day celebrations.

  2. Yep, that was the Unisphere. It's pretty neat to look at up close, too.
