It's very popular down here to hit possums at high speed with a Subaru and gradually flatten them as you drive over them again and again over the days and weeks, spreading them as evenly over the tarmac as possible, until they become part of the road. Helps protect against wearing down the roads too much, I reckon.

Garbage can?  That's where you put dead rodents.  Or do you have a large animal?  It is typical to bury large animals in the U.S.
