I will be flying into Nice, arriving in the early afternoon. I would like to take the RailEurope train to Tuscany (Siena, Arezzo, Perugia, or Terontola) because air travel seems very expensive from Nice to Florence or Rome. How do you get from the Nice airport to the train station to catch the RailEurope train? Is there a direct bus or other means of transportation (other than taxi)? Cost of such transport?

  1. I havent been to Nice, but I have been to the other places you mention.

In Europe the public transport systems are truly a revelation in what can be done, you will find public buses that run on schedule and for a very fair price.

If that fails I have taken taxis in france and Italy and they were without exception clean, courteous, fair priced and terrifyingly fast, cheaper than an amusement ride.

Dont be afraid to ask for help at the airport terminal, people in my experience were very helpful.
