I am buying or adopting a pitbull in 2009. The first of the year probably. I have searched the web and not found much. Can anyone help me? Fayetteville NC is where I will be and am willing to pay up to $1,500 IF it's from a breeder. I'm willing to rescue. Thanks

  1. you should check out craigslist. their is a lot of dogs on their that are rescues and also breeders.

  2. http://www.puppyfind.com

  3. Check out Fayetteville Animal Pretection Society (FAPS) They have multiple pitbulls there. You will save a life and save some money.

    Or this website

    Good luck

  4. Here I found this for you...

I have also starred 'cause I have 2 contacts that live in NC that might be able to help you!

  5. Well you definitely don't need a specific breed rescue, Pits show up in shelters and rescues all the time.  I'd search on Petfinder, usually the shelters/kennels/etc have their own websites too where you can read up a little bit.

  6. Here are some rescues that I have worked with personally in the North Carolina area, check your city laws before you look into adopting. Some counties have outlawed the breed.

You can use this search engine to find adoptable APBTs near you:

You can also use http://www.petfinder.com to search for APBTs in shelters in your area.

  7. try this site http://www.pbrc.net/ . I definately recommend rescue as oposed to puppy mills.
