In ONTARIO, CANADA What is the approximate cost of having a vasectomy reversal?

I know on average they are anywhere from $4000.00- $10,000.00 or more. The cost depends on where you're located. I haven't been able to find a cost estimate (online) specific to my province yet so if anyones had this done in Ontario.. or Canada How much did you pay? And who do my husband and I call regarding this procedure? Is it done by the same doctors that perform a vasectomy?

We have a friend that had this done last summer.  He tells me that the difference in cost depends on the type of surgery required (whether it is a standard procedure or if they need to bypass a vas deferens blockage).  He paid $5500.  

You need to get a referral from your family doctor to a urologist, the same doctor that does a vasectomy.

Our friend tells us it was well worth it, he and his girlfriend are now expecting.
