In Oregon Do I need a license to rent a Jet ski/Waverunner?

Im having a devil of a time finding this on my own. I'm gonna go to the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon in a couple weeks and would like to rent a Waverunner for a day of fun on the water. I need to know if I have to get a license before hand or not (I'm 28 if it matters) Also if anyone has Links or phone numbers for rental places in the gorge they would be much appreaciated. Thanks!

Waverunners are considered watercraft and you must have a boater's license to operate one in Oregon....or face a big fat ticket if you get busted without one.  You can take the exam online, get a temp and then go to the DMV for your permanent endorsement.

I went to Lake Chelan last summer and rented 2 seadoos.  They said you could drive it if you have your drivers license with you.  Permit works too.  But, yea that's all we had to do.
