In PA, how many inches do you have to park from a curb?

I'm studying for my permit test!! Also if you have any good practice tests for Pennsylvania permit that i could take let me know !

  1. generally the law is you may not touch the curb but be no more than 12 inches from the curb.  closer is better.  if you're studying the book contains that information.


  2. i live in pa. too. i believe it,s around 6 to 8 inches from the curb, but don,t quote me on that, it,s been a long time since i took my test for a license. it should tell you in your manuel. i hope you pass your test, just don,t get nervous. good luck!

    it states on page 40

    Parking

    If the street you are on has a curb, park as close to it as you can but no more than 12 inches away. If it

    has no curb, pull as far off the roadway as possible.

    When you must park on the roadway, activate your four-way flashers and give enough room to passing

    vehicles. Make sure your vehicle can be seen at least 500 feet in both directions.

  4. If my sidewalls aren't less than an inch from the curb I get in my car and keep trying until they are.
