Question:

In Paris for 4 days (Disneyland for one of them!) - should I get a carnet or a 5-day metro ticket?

Hi all!

Thanks for taking the time to read my question. I'm going to be in Paris for 4 days as a tourist at the end of the month; the plan is to explore the city, spend a day in Disneyland, and keep on exploring.

I realise that Paris is very walkable and that I might not need the 5-day ticket. What I'm wondering is - can I use the carnet to get to Disneyland? If not, what's the cheapest way of getting there?

Thanks :)

  1. To get to Disneyland you will need to take the RER and this will require a ticket for zone 5.

While metro and RER tickets are interchangable the tickets you will need for your travel within Paris are zone 1-2 tickets (which are cheaper).

So while a buying a carnet of tickets is a good idea, these tickets won't get you to Disneyland.

The real question is why someone would waste a day of only four available to them in Paris to go to Disneyland (which isn't any different than every other Disneyland in the world).

Four days is already an utterly insufficient time to see the unique sights which Paris offers.

If you want to make a day trip outside of Paris then go to Versailles.

  2. Listen ! When you go to DNL take a special ticket for DNL - on RER A Direction Marne-la-Vallée-If I'm not too stupid you'll spend your day there and go back at night -

Then buy a carnet - this will be quite enough for the three other days - maybe too much ( carnets = 10 tickets )
