In Paypal, can you add a bank account that doesnt belong to you?

ie. different name, but same last name. I have permission to use the account, but will Paypal allow me to because my name isnt on it.

Yes, as long as you can access the bank account to verify the amounts it does not matter who's name its under(I helped my son set up a paypal account with one of my checking accounts and he has a different last name). BUT, Only one checking account is allowed per paypal account. So if your dad already has that checking account linked to 'his' paypal account you will not be able to use it.

  3. The names have to match.  I tried doing the same thing just the other day (and we also had the same last name),

  4. yes you can, I've done it with my paypal account, I added my dad's account. But paypal will verify the account by depositing two small amounts range between $.01-$.50 and then you will verify the account is "yours" by entering the amount that paypal deposited.
