Question:

In Pennsylvania, can my brother supervise my driving if I have my permit and he is above the age of 18?

I want to know if it is legal for me, a 16 year old PA resident w/ learner's permit, to drive my car with my BROTHER ( who is 20) instead of my father or some other 21+ year old.

  1. In most states the passenger MUST a.) reside in the SAME household AND b.) be licensed and above the age of 21

When you first receive your Pennsylvania learners permit, a driver licensed in Pennsylvania who is at least 21 years of age or a spouse, guardian, or parent who is at least 18 years of age must ride with you in the front seat of your vehicle at all times. In addition, drivers under the age of 18 cannot have more passengers in the vehicle than the number of seat belts.

  3. NO HE CANT. YOU HAVE TO DRIVE WITHA LICENSED 21 YEAR OLD (OR OLDER).

    MY LICENSE WAS SUSPENDED FOR 6MONTHS B/C I DROVE W/ A PERMITT AND MY SISTER WHO'S 20 TOO! DONT DO iT!
