  1. The Merlin Beach Resort is hands down the most AWESOME place in Phuket!! And when I went there it only sprinkled at night once.

    Here is the Website http://www.merlinphuket.com/merlinbeachr...

  2. Yes, there are many and you can find them all here:

    That is, you can find the ones available for booking on the internet.  I'll give a plug to Laguna Resorts since I used to work there.  Try Laguna Beach Resort.  It's a beautiful, quiet beach.  Bang Tao Beach.  But anyway, there are many places in Phuket on or near the different beaches.  Not all are even on the internet.  Search for the ones you can, though!

  3. For the bigger budgets:

    * Katathani resort on Kata Noi beach. Ranges from 130-210 US p/n - http://www.katathani.com

    * Layalina Hotel - ocean deluxe room is literally 10 steps away from the beach approx 130-150 AUD p/n - http://www.phuket.com/layalina

    * Naithonburi Beach resort abt 70-100 AUD p/n- http://www.phuketresort.com/phuket/naith...

    * Karon Beach resort and spa. Abt 80 p/n and upwards - http://www.katagroup.com/karonbeach

    * Bangtao Lagoon Bungalow - they have bungalows right on the beach but even the cheaper ones aren't too far. Beach bungalows are abt 95 AUD but cheaper options are avaliable for abt 30-60 AUD - http://www.phuket-bangtaolagoon.com

    Most of the beachfront accommodation you find in Phuket are found on the quieter beaches such as Nai thon, Bang Tao and Kamala beaches. The more upmarket beach resorts are on Kata Noi and Karon but also found on Bangtao (it's crawling with expensive pool villa resorts). I should note that while normally Kata Noi is a bit nicer than its sister beach Kata in the high season - I've been told that it's a bit rougher in the low season therefore Kata is the choice. But that's just hearsay.

    Sept is the low season so a smattering rain is common. But it usually lasts for a couple of hours. I was there in July and it rained for the first 3 days for a couple of hours in the morning. The rest of the day would be fine and the remaining 4 days was beautiful and sunny. So don't worry abt it - there will be sunshine :)

    Good luck :)

  4. I'd recommend Naithonburi Beach Resort.  The hotel is excellent value for money, especially in the low season, only USD 54/night in Sep http://www.discovery-thailand.com/Hotels...

    Overall this was a fantastic resort which we could not fault in any way.it is ideal if you are looking to stay in a peaceful place in the middle of nowhere, and you don't mind taking a car or taxi when you need to get to town or restaurants. Rooms were well decorated and spacious, great value for money. Breakfast box prepared for early check out guest. It was the off season when we arrived so we really had the opportunity to use the big pool for ourselves.  Have a nice trip!!

  5. You can try hotel search in http://www.AmericaCheapHotels.com where you can read hotel details, reviews and comments, see photos and its physical locations through maps, details about important nearby locations ....

  6. Check out the Kata Beach Resort and Spa. You will not be disappointed if you stay in Kata
