I want to get a tattoo of my name in polish. Either Megan or Caroline. So what are the polish name equivalents of those two names? I'd really prefer to know the Megan one.

  1. Karoline

    Megan

    they arent any different except Caroline.. it is traditionally spelled with a K but Megan is just Megan. its not of polish origin nor does it have a translation, only Caroline does which is Karoline.. not much difference.

  2. Many Polish names are the same in Polish and English:

    Robert = Robert

    Daniel = Daniel

    Megan = Megan  (meaning “Strong and capable”)

    The pronunciation is usually close but accent is “Polish” stressing second syllable.

    Majority of the names, which are foreign to the Polish language, have been transformed to accommodate Polish language conventions or have Polish equivalents:

    Peter = Piotr

    John = Jan

    Eva   = Ewa

    Caroline = Karolina  (feminine form of Carlo (manly) , female, italian)

    Please notice that Karolina is fairly popular name in Poland but Magan is extremely rare.

  3. Caroline would be Karolina in Poland; Megan does not have a Polish equivalent.

  4. I know Caroline is Karolina.

    It's possible there isn't Megan in Polish, like Brian or Sally.

  5. Karolina, Megan

  6. Karolina

    i dont know megan
