Question:

In Politics, What Makes a Sexist?

I have been reportedly attacked on here by conservatives who accuse me of being "sexist" because I do not like Sarah Palin; that seems sexist to me, because it operates on the only assumption that her s*x is why I vote against her.

I voted for Hillary in the primaries because she supports the rights of women and other marginalized groups (racial minorities, religious minorities, etc.). Sarah, I feel, stands opposed to those rights.

Why am I hearing the word "sexist" used so much? Is it merely a political ploy, or a legitimate argument? And how do you establish between critiquing a politician's acts and slandering them because of misogynistic bias?

  1. Same thing the Obama supporters have been saying.........if you don't like Obama you are racist.

  2. You're not sexist.  Sexist is these fools voting for McCain/Palin because she IS a woman or because she IS a good looking woman!
