High school and college both use a system to give each team an equal shot at winning and not having the game decided on a coin flip.

  1. Sudden Death overtime in the NFL is just luck. If you win the coin toss, you are the team with the advantage. The best way to break a tie in the NFL would probably be to use the college method of each team getting the ball at the 25 with no game clock and the chance to score a TD or field goal, but for he NFL teams, perhaps they should start at the 30 or 35 yard line since they're better and more experienced players.

  2. The way teams do it in college is a great way. NFL overtime is more luck than anything so that would give both teams an equal oppurtunity and decrease dumb ref mistakes like that whole steelers lions game. Or another way to do it is eliminate field goals and the first team to score a TD wins none of this get the ball to the 30 yard line and kick it bs either way is better than whats in place now.

  3. Would rather have the old way when it ended in a tie than the method they have today,Football is a brutal sport, and more than 4 quarters is too much for the players, especially teams that just played a Sunday game and is playing a Thursday game, also it's a shame that a coin flip usually decides who wins the game

  4. Probably something similar to the college overtime. The NFL is my favorite sports league, but I have to admit that when games go into overtime the current system doesn't allow for much edge of your seat excitement.

  5. As an avid football fan, I would love to see the NFL use the same overtime method as college. Give each team the ball at the 25 yard line and see if they can score. If the score is still tied after 2 overtime sessions, each team will have to attempt a 2-point conversion after a touchdown. I think this would create a lot more excitement for an overtime game (just imagine it in a Super Bowl!), and it would create higher-scoring contests, which the fans like. Fantasy football players would benefit more from this system also. As I see it, everybody would benefit from this type of overtime.

  6. The College system is best.

  7. The current sudden death method the NFL uses is by far much better than the college system.  Why change a good thing.

  8. I have a different idea.  Why not pick 22 fans from each team and have them play each other?????

The only problem with that is that in Philly, you wouldn't be able to find 22 of the opposing team's fans as that is a life-threatening undertaking!  Considering that Eagles fans have no class whatsoever and still can't get if through their heads that its a free country and pro football is fun because you can choose whomever you want to root for....

...sorry... I'll get off my pulpit now...
