I live in Michigan in the US. I would like to move to Peurto Rico for a few years and practice as a nurse. I'm becoming fluent in Spanish. I'd like to know how to go about doing this and what all the costs would be. What kind of paperwork would i have to fill out and all that of that stuff. Please help me out and explain in great detail. thank you.

  1. A New York City police officer earns more than a school teacher in Puerto Rico. I have an aunt that teaches elementary school and two cousins that teaches English. Unfortunately, the pay is not good. I once dated a nurse that worked for a prestige hospital in Puerto Rico and the pay was horrible. If you are interested in living at an area that is diverse, then perhaps NYC or Miami would be ideal and earn you plenty of money and Latino friends.

  3. My mother in law is a nurse in PR. She is a LPN. She makes $6.50 per hour. & the cost of living is comparible to the US, only you dont need heat of course. Teachers pay is also minimal. Jobs are hard to come by. But if you can live off of this pay, then you will be ok. You will need to be fluent in spanish to get hired as a nurse or teacher. Look at this classifieds sight. Its the most popular in PR. You can find jobs & housing.
