I know it's Shakespeare. And it will be very hard to learn, but for my english class we're doing a re-enactment. We haven't read it yet, but will start it soon. I will have to re-enact it in front of a 9th grade english class.I just need a scene that would be short, or one that would be easy to re-enact. All answers would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

  1. In my opinion, you would be better off reading the whole play so you can get an idea of what is happening.  Once you pick a scene to re-enact, you will know more how to portray those emotions of the character to the audience.

If you just pick a scene, you are not really going to know how to re-enact it without knowing what transpired up to that scene and after wards.

Romeo and Juliette is not that hard to understand.  Just take into consideration there is alot of "thee's" meaning you and "thou's" meaning you.

    Good luck.

  2. Grab a person of the other gender and do the balcony scene: "Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?"

If you want a one-person bit, I'd suggest Mercucio's death scene "A pox on both your houses."
