  1. A mark can be called when receiving a kick from within 22 meters from your goal line. Once you catch the ball, play stops, and is restarted with a 22 meter drop. ( a drop kick from your 22 meter line)


  2. A mark (also known as a fair catch) allows the player to hold on to the ball without being tackled, while he prepares to take his kick.

  3. By calling "mark" play stops and the player has 3 options; Tap, Scrum or Kick for Touch.
