In Selangor the place is near to UPM university.I am told that the rent is 300RM.Is is right?

upm stands for universiti putra malaysia. and its in selangor. but i'm not sure about the rent in that area.

You may be able to get a small room for RM300....As for food, depends on what you eat, and whether you eat out, ta-pau, or do the cooking yourself...Budget for RM12 to RM15 per pereson  per day for simple meals...

You can rent a room (flat/terrace house) for RM90-RM200 per month. The cost for food is around RM300 (if you skip KFC/McD)

i used to live in Serdang (area near UPM) for 8 years.

Drop by at any 7 Eleven outlets in Serdang (got 2), you can find the notice board full of rent house advertisement.

If you eat at "Padang" (official foodcourt for Serdang residents/UPM students) then you can save on your budget.

For lunch you can get as cheap as RM3.00 complete with chicken, vege, and teh o ais.
