  1. If you're going to Vancouver Canada and taking 5 north then take a quick scenic route... its like one of the nicest drives in the state. get off on the exit for route 11 near Burlington and take the road up to Bellingham.  It connects you back to 5 in Bellingham.  It's really nice... you should try it.

    Also be prepared to wait 2 hours at the border.


  2. You absolutely have to go to the pike place market. You can check out the first starbucks, sit on the water front, buy fresh produce, watch the flying fish, and just feel the real seattle busy streets and happiness!

  3. Which Vancouver? Washington or BC?

    If you are going to Vancouver, WA then I would recommend I-90 to I-395 (Ritzville) and follow the route to I-84 (Oregon); then follow the Columbia River to Portland and head up north to Vancouver following the signs. This is generally the quickest route and with the best roads.

    If going to BC the I-90 to Seattle and then north on I-5 (and don't forget your passport).
