In Serbian/Croatian language, do adjectives appear before or after the noun they are describing?

i.e the english way of " the grey cat"

or the french way of le chat gris

  1. In Croatian, gray cat = siva macka, same order as in English.

    The same is the case with Serbian, which is almost the exact same language.

    You don't put the adjective after the noun, as you do with French, Spanish, Polish, etc.


  2. Adjectives appear before the noun in serbo-croatian. 'the gray cat' = 'siva mačka', with 'mačka' meaning cat and 'siva', gray. I just googled it :).
