In Soul Calibur 4 for PS3, How do you do a Critical Finish??

Is it a random thing, or do I have to press buttons?

Practice your critical finish first......

1st: Go to training mode, when you get there, pick your character, and any other randon character.

2nd: When the battle starts, the opponent will just stand there, and do nothing. So, pause your game, and set the CPU fighting style to "Easy"...Then go to Soul Gauge set up, and set the CPU gauge to empty. (It doesn't matter what your Soul Gauge is set at.)

3rd: Unpause your game. You will notice the Soul Gauge on the right side (CPU side) is blinking red. After a couple of hit, you will notice a BIG RED electric shock effect around the CPU opponent (this is the CPU's armor breaking), (on a PS3 controler) push L1 when you see this. (It is L1 for ALL of the characters in the game)  (You only have about 1 second to do it, so have fast reflexes.) If timed correctly, you will execute a Critical Finish.

During regular game play, this works the same way, butyou have to be able to drop the opponents Soul Gauge down by yourself, but otherwise, it works the same way.

i dont know how to do it on the PS3 but you can go through the training and it will teach you how to do it there
