In Spanish the word venga means come on?

but in Andalucia it can also mean goodbye. Is this just Andalucian slang or is the same meaning universal in Spain

  1. I am Chilean and have been around Spain and several Latin American countries. To my knowledge (which is not universal) "venga" means "come" or "come on", as in an order given to someone. I've never heard it used as "good bye".

    I can assure you it's not Chilean or Argentinean slang for good bye.

  2. "Venga" means "come on", but it can also be used as "goodbye", not only in Andalucía, but here in Galicia we use it too (depending on the place).  

  3. So the group Venga Boys means "come on boys"? I think that make sense. "Goodbye Boys" sound ridiculous.
