  1. Survivor hasn't given you a very clear answer. In Colombo there are more Sinhalese (approximately 41%) than Tamils (about 29%). However, in the country as a whole, the Sinhalese majority is much larger (over 80%). Only just over 9% of the total population of Sri Lanka is Tamil. I hope this answers your question adequately.


  2. both are in equal......(just8% less than sinhalese)..in colombo sinhalese were more in number.
