In Star Wars, What species/race is Yoda?

No race was ever officially stated, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoda). Yoda was not the only one of his species, as Knights of the Old Republic shows a Master Vandar of the same race, and Phantom Menace shows a Master Yaddle of the same race.

I dont know about in the films or movies, but in Star wars knights of the old republic, the player meets master Vandar, who seems to be the same race as yoda.

It is not mentioned what "kind" he is, but in "Phantom Menace" you can see a "pink" version of his kind wearing an eye patch in the racing stands. But that one doesn't have the face/nose shape of Yoda.
