In Starwars episode 2 in padme's room at night, What kind of lighting is on the floor?

There are cool LED laser type things scanning accross the floor. i was wondering if anything like that really exists or not and what it would be called

Awesome, to use that often overused word,great question! Lighting is definitely the most under-utilized home environment /improvement out there. There are beyond a doubt many possibilities, via lasers, Fiber Optics, lots of s**y stuff out there left unitized.
