In Street Fighter, does Ryu have any advantages over Akuma?

I know it varies between games, so please specify which SF you are referring to. For example, does Ryu hit with more damage than Akuma sometimes? What would you say the odds are in a match between Akuma and Ryu with high skill, equally matched players?

Yes hes ryu. his specials are easy to pull off hes strong fast and powerful. while akuma may hit harder ryu is easier to master

I dont think he does on any game to be honest, akuma is the most wellrounded guy on there.
