In Super Smash Bros. Brawl is it possible to do a team match with only 2 human players versing 2 com players?

yes, when you got to brawl and begin a match, go up to the top-left hand corner and click brawl. It should switch to team battle, then simply click on you character to change your team color. So if you want you and friend to be on the same team just put each other for the same color like put both of yall on red , blue , or green. Then for the computers just select what character they're going to be, adjust the level, then change their color to the same exact color. So say if you pick red then put the comps into either blue or green. And then start the match.

Yes, it's very simple-

Set up a standard Brawl with 2 human players & 2 CPU players.

Click Team Match, up at the top of the character selection screen.

If neccessary, adjust the teams to your liking (the same way you'd change costumes)

Yeah you can easily.

You will require two controllers obviously. All you have to do is click on the last two character slots on the character selection screen. If it says "COM" that means it's a computer player ("HMN" means human player).

Go the main Brawl character select screen. Then click on the word "Brawl" in the top left corner to make it a team brawl. Then click on the grey "None"s until they say COM. Then you just assign them to teams and go! =)
