  1. Most students should have the concept of the kick down at about green belt, should be able to do it at around blue belt, and should have it very well down pat by red belt/brown belt.

    HOWEVER!!!

it all depends on how hard you want to work and how good you want to be. If you say, "oh, i dont wanna wait almost a year to learn a stupid kick, im not gonna do taekwondo" then you know what? Don't wait!

Theres this guy Tom that goes to my Taekwondo school. He's legally blind. Ya know what else? He works like a dog every day he shows up. (he kick like a horse too.) He has a tornado kick that would shock most people. He also had it down to a science before he was even a green belt! Hes a blue belt know and hes already doing a 360 kick (which is what we at my school call a jumping roundhouse kick, which doesn't kick or hit anything, followed by, in the air, a turning hook kick) and breaking 1inch thick boards with it Did i mention the guy's blind!!!!????

You'll start to learn the kick at about green belt level but honestly, you can learn whatever kick, whenever you want too. You just gotta apply yourself. Spinning kicks youll learn at about blue belt level, maybe a little earlier of later, and its a kick that you either love or hate. stuff like the 360 kick, the 540 kick and the 540 hook kick come much later and many people don't even touch on the 540 kicks because they are quite difficult. Hope this helps and sorry if it doesn't

  2. Your first spinning kick will probably be a spinning back kick or spinning side kick.  That will happen in your first month, but if you can't do it, it's not a problem, they will work with you.

Tornado kicks don't come for a while.  If you are athletic, and picking up things fast, someone will show you, but it's not a "required" kick until a few months of training.

  3. I think the tornado kick is either a green belt or a purple belt kick. Spinning kicks are taught after you get your first senior belt (green). Well... than again there's the exception of the back kick... OK, most of them are after green.

  4. at my studio you learn a tornado kick at blue belt which is the sixth belt. but once you get to a first degree brown (ninth belt, right before black) you lear jumping reverse kicks like a jump reverse hook or jump reverse side. we start reverse kicks (spin) at green belt, level four. it depends on your studio when you learn those kicks, but it will probably be the fourth or fifth belt, which is about half way to black belt.
