  1. You would win the pot with the higher flush (your lowest card is a 4 while opponents lowest card is 3)

Also, just for a little clarity from the other responses. There is no order for the suits during the game (Hold em has a board of 5 cards and each player holds 2 cards so impossible to have competing flushes of different suits)

However the cards are ranked by suit and that could come into play during some of the other aspects of game. Trying to determine dealer at a table would go to highest card.  Ace of Spades is highest ranked card so if two players were dealt an Ace, the button might be determined by rank of suit. Button goes to Ace of Spades over the Ace of Clubs.

  2. Your 4 would beat his 3.

  3. Always remember: a poker hand is 5 (five) cards, and every card plays. Your 4 beats his 3.

The other guy was right, except about that order of suits nonsense.

There is NO order of suits in poker. Every suit is the same.

  4. Your flush has higher cards than his, even though it took the last card to determine it. If you had identical cards, then the order of suits is:

    Hearts

    Spades

    Diamonds

    Clubs.

    You take the pot...

  5. ace high split pot

  6. I'm sorry X MAN but it's people like you that crack me up...the ones that come to the casinos only playing in their home games where the rules are basically "handicapped" to help the players win more...the first most basic rule in any type of poker is the best FIVE (5) CARDS WIN...so why would an ace high be a split pot?!?  I've seen this before at the casino and the guy lost a lot of $$$ and then he turns to his friend and says why wasn't it a split pot like it is at our home games...his friend just put his hand on his head and said they were being nice to him at the home games...so really you're not learning the rules correctly and it's only going to hurt your play in the future...the only time ace high wins, is when the top five cards has nothing, then and only then the highest card wins...thanks for making me smile :)

  7. yeah the person with the AKJ94 woulda won. and that first answer is wrong, the order of the suits, from strongest to weakest, goes:

    Spades

    Hearts

    Diamonds

    Clubs

But of course in Texas Hold'em, that only would apply for deciding the dealer
