In Texas what do you change first? your s.s. card or your license? ?

i just got married and I'm not sure which to do first? ive got my marriage license in and I'm anxious to change my last name :)

Does not matter, both offices ask for a form of ID and your marriage license. Congrats and Good Luck.

Not sure, but in Mass you have to change your SS first

Doesn't matter. But, it you now have you new name on checks and such, it's easy enough to change the license. S.S. doesn't much care about anything but your number. Plenty of time for that.

License first...I would imagine that on the ss card you could just change your name if you want to.
