In Trojan war, why did Trojans accept the horse from their enemy (Agamemnon and Menelaus)? ?

Or, did they actually know that the horse was from the enemy? Or, was there even any horse?

  1. They thought that it was a gift from God Poseidon and accept it cause they did not want to offend Him . thought it was a gift for their // victory//


  2. The Trojans were famous horse trainers.  The horse was their specialty.  The Greeks had seemingly packed up a left, giving up on their ten year siege and left a giant horse.  Priam thought it was a token of their surrender.
