  1. Wrestlers are sometimes champions in the ufc, actually alot of the champs started as wrestlers, Matt Hughes, Tito Ortiz, and Randy the Natural Couture. Of course they then evolved to full fledged mma super stars, but wrestling is a solid base for the cage, its aggresive slams and control of the opponent, great start for ground and pound.

  2. Yeah, I pull off the Jackhammer all the time.

  3. Greco Roman and Freestyle wrestling? Yes and many fighters do.

WWE style fake ''wrestling'', sure, you can do them....but seeing as they're fake they aren't likely to be that effective are they?

  4. Some like a big boot but not like a pedigree

  5. Those kinds of things don't work unless the other guy lets you do them. You could try if you want though.

  6. WWE bull c**p, no. Those moves would literally kill you and be illegal. Greco-roman and folk-style of course.

  7. The double leg takedown from freestyle/folkstyle wrestling is the most used move in the UFC besides the punch, so yes.  If you want to get a guy to the ground, good chance you will need to use wrestling.

    *And it works!

We have also seen the suplex in MMA from guys like Dan Severn, Josh Barnett, and Kevin Randleman.  All of whom have done pro wrestling as well.

  8. Do you mean real wrestling moves, or pro wrestling moves?

Certainly, moves like the 'Fireman's Carry' and armbars/legbars would be useful in a mixed martial arts situation. But if you try to give your opponent a Stone Cold Stunner, then you're just a moron.
