In Vietnam, what's the high-necked, side-slit, embroidered tunic worn over pants for special occasions..?

We were given one by a Vietnamese-born friend, and I made a note of the name of the garment but I can't find it. I'm sure somebody out there can help me! I'll know the name I'm looking for as soon as I see it. Thanks!!

  1. Like Flight Medicine, I think it's "Ao Dai".


  2. It is called the AoDai.  Some times it is even worn on non special occasions.  I love it when my wife and daughter wear theirs.  Cheers from C.
