I'm trying to make a video for my friend before she moves, out of fun and boredom. Well I was messing with Windows Movie Maker, and I have some clips of us, but I want to CANCEL the noise. Is there anyway to turn the sound on the clip off, but still be able to hear the music Im using?

  1. where the clip is for sound, underneath in the time line under video it should have a thing for audio.  click the sound thats there and put it to mute.  your music will not be affected.

  2. On the Audio or Audio/Music track of the timeline, select the audio clip that you want to mute.

On the Clip menu, point to Audio, and then click Mute.

  3. if you want to cancle the noices in youir clips...

    follow this steps:

    1. put the video clip on the place where it says "drag media here"..

    2. at the left side you can see "video +" click it

    3. then you will see "audio" right click and you will see "mute"

    4. click it and there you go... your video is fully muted...
