  1. - The Triple Entente, consisting of the UK, France and Russia and their corresponding colonies in other continents. The USA joined them towards the end of the war, tipping the balance in their favour.

    - The Triple Alliance, consisting of Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy

  2. The Entente Powers initially consisted of France, the United Kingdom, Russia, and their associated empires and dependencies. Numerous other states joined these allies, most notably Italy in April 1915, and the United States in April 1917. The Central Powers, so named because of their central location on the European continent, initially consisted of Germany and Austria-Hungary and their associated empires. The Ottoman Empire joined the Central Powers in October 1914, followed a year later by Bulgaria. By the conclusion of the war, only The Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain and the Scandinavian nations remained officially neutral among the European countries, though many of those provided financial and material support to one side or the other

  3. It was initially Triple Entente (Britain, France and Russia) and Triple Alliance (Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy). But, as more countries join the alliances, the Triple Entente become Allied Powers and the Triple Alliance become Central Powers. Italy had also backstabbed Germany and Austria-Hungary by joining the Allied Powers.

  4. Allies - Britain, India, Canada, France, Australia

Central powers - Italy, Japan, Germany, Turkey

  5. The Central Powers, which was formed around the Triple Alliance of Germany, Austro-Hungary, and Italy, and also included the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria. Italy left the Triple Alliance before WWI began and joined the Allies later.

The Allies, which was formed from the Triple Entente of the UK, France, and Russia, joined by Italy and the US. Many more countries declared war on the Allied side as the war went on. (see source).
