In Yahoo Groups, why isn't the attachment on a sent message not stored?

I'd like to look under the Group's messages to see all the attachments to each message. Unfortunately, the attachment file name is listed but (not stored). Is this something I can change?

  1. sorry, archives hasn't stored these for a long time now. if Yahoo did store them, many groups would soon loose a ton of space. in order to benefit from these when they're sent, one needs to be set to individual mail- or have members upload them to the photo album or files

  2. No, it's not something you can change.  A few years ago, Yahoo Groups decided to stop archiving all attachments that are attached to Group messages.  They made this a no-exception policy.  So the only way you (or any other members of your Group) will be able to see the attachemtns is if you change your Message Delivery setting to Individual Emails.

If you don't know how to change it to Individual Emails, then log in to the Yahoo Groups web site.  Then go to the home page of this Group whose attachments you want to see.  Then click on Edit Membership near the middle of the top line (just below the ad if there is one).  Then scroll down to Step 2 Message Delivery.  In that section, change your setting to Individual Emails.  Don't forget to click the Save Changes button (near the lower-right-hand corner) when you're done.
