In Yahoo Groups is pornography allowed?

I got an email to join a moderator in a yahoo group that features live amatures for free ............. whats the deal? Why am I getting this trash?

1) p**n is allowed only in groups within the Adult category.  Since this group is in the Games category, it can be reported to Yahoo Groups staff that it should be recategorized.

2)  This will put a stop to receiving that trash real quick and will also prevent them from adding you to their groups if they take the notion to do that!

Go to your "My Groups" page -here is the link: http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups

Near the upper right side, click on "My Email Preferences".

To the far right of the email address used for groups, click "Edit".

Under "Group Invitations", click on the checkmarks to REMOVE them from the squares to the left of "Allow group moderators to directly add me to their groups" and "Allow group moderators to invite me to their groups".

Click "Save Changes".

I am moderator in a group, and we get bogus "people" joining all the time.  I need to remove them quickly so they don't flood our members with this kind of thing.  Sorry it happened to you.  They are usually automated and happen in the dead of night.  It is very unfortunate.  I am sure your moderator is as frustrated as I am.

Thats one main reason first posts on my  groups  are always moderated.  If a member's first post isn't agreeable they are promptly banned.
