In YougiOh, When a Card tell you to discard a card, Do it Have to be from Your Hand or can it be from thefield

It means discard from your hand unless the card says discard from the field.

Sir, you have to get rid of your card from your HAND… Unless it says something like “tribute 1(or more) monster from your side of the field”. in yugioh, a "discard" means from your hand...

On a side note: if the cards is written like “ Discard a card. Do this and that…etc.” the card you get rid of from your hand is a COST… You pay for it and you don’t get it back if whatever card you activate is negated or countered by your opponent…  If the card is written like “Do this and that….etc; during whatever phase… discard a card.” The discard is PART OF THE CARD EFFECT so if your card is negated, you do not have to discard a card from your hand.  If you do, cards such as “dark world monsters”, a series of monsters that when they are discarded to the grave yard by an EFFECT( NOT COST!!!) they are special summoned to the field and usually can have other good effects for you, will activate.

There's"send one card in your side of the field to the graveyard"and there's"discard one card in your hand to the graveyard"if the card tell you to discard one card from your hand,you can't discard the card from your side of the field,if you want to do that,the card probaly tell you to"send one card in your side of the field to the graveyard".
