Someone in my league wants to swap his 3rd position for every round for my 4th. It seems like 3rd would be better other than the 2nd round pick would be one before mine.

  1. 3 ould be good cuz if every1 would pick by the yahoo team order if u were 3 u would get the following

    1. Steven Jackson

    2.Ryan Grant

    3.Braylon Edwards

    4.Chad Johnson

    5.Carson Palmer

    6.Kellen Winslow

    7.Donovan Mccnab

    8.Kevin Curtis

    9.SD Defence

    10.Santana Moss

Thats would be ur top 10 if u had 3 pick if every1 would go buy the yahoo list and thats a great team so go with the 3 pick for sure

  2. If my only choice was the 3rd or 4th selections, the 4th pick is the way to go.  The optimal position is 5th or 6th because you have the shortest amount of time between picks.  This allows for overall balance for your team.  You're not gonna have a guy like LT or AP, but you still get good value out of each of your picks.

The biggest reason that these picks are the best is because you don't have to reach as far on some guys because you only have to wait 10-12 selections between your picks.  If you have a high 1st rounder, you have to wait 18-20 picks and this can cause some people to reach for some guys that they really want even though their adp doesn't indicate that they should be picked there.

  3. Strategy wise the 4th is better. You will still get a top of the line player for you first pick, unless you s***w it up, and get the next pick in the second before the 3rd overall pick. Think of it this way, if the 4th wasnt more strategic than the 3rd, then why would that person want to trade out of the third for your 4th? Stay where you are, it is better.
