  1. You do not say at what angle the ball was launched. Was it straight up, perpendicular to the ground or was it launched at some particular angle such as 45 degrees?

    You also do not state where the observer is with respect to the window. Is the bottom of the window above his eye-level?

    The position of the ball at any time t is given by the parametric equations:

    x = (VocosZ)t

    y = (-1/2)(9.8)t^2 +(VocosZ)t , where

    Vo = initial velocity

    Z = angle of elevation at launch

    t = time i seconds

    9.8 = gravitational constant in m/s^2
