In a Dillemma of which colour sink to purchase to go with my wooden laminate worktop?

I have got a light wooden effect worktop and need a new sink as the one I have has broken, howvever I do not know whether to have a

Echo Stainless Steel (1.50) sink or the Helix volcano black (1.50) sink - which would you think would look good up against the wood worktop. Stainless Steel or Black please note - the black is like a roc granite.

Go with the black...the wood and steel might be a little much

I have a black roc 1.5 sink and it looks good anyway, but it is mounted in black granite. I think the stainless one would work better,but i think they look a bit cheap.

If you are spending " Serious Money " to update your kitchen, then you must realize right off " Stainless Steal" will do nothing ( as far as increasing value). Stainless Steal is purely a loss to the homeowner, so for that reason alone the laminate if kept in great shape makes sense. However, if you are after functionality then Stainless Steal will probably fit the bill better, laminate will degrade over time - from use. The laminate will separate ...the glue weakens enabling the separation..etc. Like I said, laminate must be maintained. If your not the type of person to do this and really are onlly after functionality then go with the stainless steal. IMO

I just put in a black one to pick up the black trim tile I used in the backsplash, also my faucet is done in rubbed oil bronze finish which is quite dark, almost black.

Its modern/contemporary looking with my maple cabinets with rubbed oil bronze pulls.

If that fits with what you have done its makes people comment on how unusual it is.

Black sink would look good with a wood effect worktop. I personally like white butlers sinks, but i dont know what type of kitchen you have, ie modern or rustic.
