,each player plays one match against each other athlete.There are 14 players scheduled to compete in the tournament. How many matches will be played?

do i take 14 and multiply it by 2??

I presume it is a round robin tournament. Therefore each player plays 13 matches. in other words 13X14, work that out without a calculator it is easy
